Cassette Type
Audio Notes Recorder has two operating modes known as cassette types: analog and digital. In digital mode, one cassette can contain several recorded messages and every new click on Record button creates a new message. Thus you can't continue recording at the end of already existing message. On the other side, in analog mode, every cassette contains or represents only one message. By further clicking on Record button you will be able to continue recording at the end of analog cassette i.e. extend one message many times. Analog mode has one more useful feature: ANR records any sound coming from any source on the sound card, not just from the microphone, providing you the opportunity to record something with your voice-over annotations.
Microphone Sensibility / Recording Volume
These two sliders should help you optimize microphone's sensibility for getting best results with Voice Operated Recording modes: V.O.R. and Spy.
Note: For some sound cards and drivers, using only hardware related Recording Volume slider does not provide enough control over microphone's sensibility. For that reason we have added another (software only) control slider named Microphone Sensibility. Even so, there is no guarantee that voice operated recording will work as expected in all microphone/sound card/driver combinations.
Max Cassette Size (10MB)
This slider allows you to limit maximum cassette size up to 10MB.
